Priorities

Reuniting the `Ohana

Our young adults are having to relocate to the mainland for more education and employment opportunities.

Utilizing the County Council platform, I will work to create more opportunities for our young adults to return home and bring the spirit of ingenuity and innovation back to the islands.

Protecting the Aina

County policies should focus on rewarding the use of cleaner business practices rather than penalizing those who don’t.

It’s time to promote businesses that are moving toward becoming carbon neutral.

We commit as a community to become more self-reliant by incentivizing business owners and residents to buy local, produce locally, and recycle.

Our county needs to expedite permitting for clean energy projects. We need to create "smart" landfills and use methane gas (natural gas) to generate electricity.

Community Focused

The County, at every opportunity, should strive to provide a County system that supports and
enables entrepreneurial residents to thrive!

-We can accomplish this together by committing to smart growth:
 Revitalize the county’s permitting system.
 Research alternative building materials to lower costs.
 Lease County lands for local farming to strengthen our local infrastructure and
promote sustainability

 Establish a commitment for “Attainable Housing”. Pocket neighborhoods provide a excellent opportunity for smart growth and attainable housing.

Smarter Recycling
 Explore the options for utilizing our recycled waste to develop better and safer
roads, clothing and supplies for those in need, and to promote sustainability

o Rejuvenation of existing town centers

It’s time to protect the multi-generational households and lands by
setting a cap on the ever-rising property taxes that are running families
from their homes.
